During visits to the TRNC by Yeşilçam actors to boost the morale of Turkish Cypriots following the 1974 Peace Operation, a photograph was taken of Ediz Hun and Founding President Rauf Raif Denktaş. Journalist and academic Cem Kar gifted the photograph to Ediz Hun as a gesture when Hun visited the TRNC again, 50 years later.
