We’re living through jackal season…
The country has reached such a state that everything has become a fog of (ideas)…
Just as some people wanted: take a closer look at the issues being raised in the country, where ideas are getting lost in the dust and smoke. Can you see the jackals lurking around them?
…
Well, let’s take a look together…
The first target of these jackals was Turkish citizens ‘brought’ here from Turkey to work.
They made such an issue of it that people said everything from “they’re changing the population” to “they’re invading our country”… And those who pushed them into living at construction sites then turned around and shamelessly said, “They live at construction sites.”
So, what do they say?
Has the jackal pack ever told you what they think?
I listened to them. Here’s what they say: “Brother, isn’t it obvious who’s making us work cheaply, or even off the books, and selling houses cheaply? Aren’t the same people bringing us here so they don’t have to pay our Cypriot brothers and sisters more, and leaving our brothers and sisters dependent on the Greek Cypriots? Why are these people attacking us instead of them? What have we done?”
The second target is once again related to Turkey, and this time it’s employers, not workers, who are involved… The message here is clear too: “Turkey is taking over everything we have,” these jackals say… But is this jackal pack, which likes to stir up a fog of ideas, really so honest?
Come on, let’s put ourselves in their shoes on this one…
Turkey wouldn’t say it, but let’s suppose it did: “That’s all well and good, but these were built with the money I sent you anyway. I also handed their management over to you. You used these places as vote banks and sources of rent-seeking. You ran these institutions into the ground. Now they’re becoming what they should have been all along: profit-making institutions.” What would you say to that, “jackal pack”?
The third target, for some reason, is once again Turkey and the embassy…
The ‘jackal’ pack, which has disliked Halil İbrahim Akça’s appointment to the embassy from the very beginning, has been calling him a ‘governor’ since day one and even saying “we don’t want him,” despite having no say in the matter… Our jackals, looking for an opening from the first day of his appointment, were waiting for a chance to create an atmosphere of dust and smoke…
And they found one...
A police officer caused an uproar to cover up a serious mistake he had made…
These days, nobody can see anyone through the dust and smoke, which means the jackal has once again got the kind of environment it wanted…
Would a jackal sit still? It sprang into action immediately… The ‘jackal pack’ started making slanderous claims and saying whatever it pleased… It kept asking, “What was in the bag?” But unfortunately, the more it asked questions about this, the more it repeated the mistake the police had made…
But I can see that this has become a topic of great curiosity…
Well, let me tell you what was in the bag: For the jackal pack running a campaign to turn society against Turkey, there was a partridge in the bag…
Can you see these jackals now?
Are you aware of their aims?
Let’s spell that out too: although what these people are trying to do is a futile effort, it’s clear as day that they want to drive a wedge between the Turkish Cypriot people and Turkey, and, by making Turkey a target, cause it to lose its standing and the people’s trust… Let’s hope these people, blinded by rage, don’t make the mistake of attacking Turkish soldiers…
What can we say? They’ll try to channel water under the straw, and we’ll lift the straw…
