Sleeping is biological; it is a need of the body. You have to give it what it needs… You do it so your body won’t hold you back! In other words, you have a purpose, an interest in it, just as you do in everything else…

Science tells you, “Sleep!”

Your body somehow tells you that you need to sleep.

You don’t need any serious training to do this; you’re born with this ability.

From time to time, sleep is your excuse!

You think it gets you out of some responsibilities.

When your spouse says, “You didn’t hear the child crying at all, darling?” you say, “I was so deeply asleep, darling, I didn’t hear a thing,” and that settles it… In fact, your spouse starts complaining to friends and family: “My spouse sleeps so heavily! The other day, ….. happened! They didn’t even know!” But over time, the sense of familiarity these complaints create turns your spouse into someone who makes excuses for you, and they begin to say: “What can he do? He works so hard, and he’s a heavy sleeper.”

That’s biological sleep for you.

You have to do it, but this necessity comes at the cost of a large part of your life… Given how important it is for you to live, that’s a reasonable bargain!

But what about your non-biological brain sleep?

In other words, how do we account for the time you spend asleep when it comes to the responsibility you have taken on toward the brain that makes you who you are?

If you’re already giving your body the sleep it needs, then when you should be thinking, creating, resisting, or supporting, who will do all these things if your brain is asleep?

I’ll come to the answer to that question shortly!

My Northern Cyprus is in a state of sleep…

Its troubles have seemingly gotten out of hand!

Supposedly, it’s discussing issues like religious education, monuments, the flu, beaches, garbage, scandals, political disputes, civil servants’ employment rights, the economy, and so on…

Yet the words it says are the colour of its party…

Someone tells it what to talk about today!

It talks, it argues…

It doesn’t ask, investigate, or even care why it’s arguing!

Its brain sleep has deepened; it has been rendered passive, hypnotized; so much so that it waits for orders before it will think…

It waits for orders to decide what to resist or support…

It doesn’t say, “That’s not what I think!”

Its thoughts have become politicized…

Before it even speaks, you know what colour it will speak in!

As a result, these problems grow in a vicious circle, while solutions become impossible…

And this is exactly where the answer to the question I asked earlier emerges!

If your brain is asleep, it means that other people are doing the thinking on your behalf—the act of producing thoughts, a responsibility you took on at birth!

With your thoughts in your party’s colour, you give them the authority to decide what you will talk about or what your future should look like!

So, how will you escape?

The way out of this situation is to produce thoughts…

It doesn’t matter what you produce!

What matters is:

To produce, discuss, come together, and bring out of that mode those brains that have the potential to want things and have done so before—the brains you put to sleep, politicized, and, worse still, rendered passive—and produce original thoughts!

Don’t spend the time you have left outside biological sleep in brain sleep…

Because that’s not a reasonable bargain at all!

So, it’s time to set your brains free!

Until Friday; may your minds be open…

Pay attention to your surroundings, keep them clean, and please be courteous in traffic!
