WE’VE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE

WE’VE SEEN THIS MOVIE BEFORE!

Western diplomacy must finally abandon its stereotyped policies.

Because it is abundantly clear that we have all gone beyond the limits of awareness. The EU has put us in such a position that its tactics— or whatever you want to call them—no longer work on us.

I urge EU officials, who consider every means fair game in order to protect the interests of the Greek Cypriots and put forward proposals by putting their heads to work, to come up with more rational tactics in keeping with the rules of intelligence and reason.

Otherwise, I must say that my concerns are growing about the mental health of EU leaders—whose sanity I already doubt—who have become the laughingstock of the Greek Cypriots.

***

Today, you will read in the newspapers what France and Germany think about Turkey.

The words of those countries’ leaders may upset you, or you may laugh and move on.

I’m one of those who laugh and move on.

Why?

Because whenever they try to impose something like this, they make statements that create the impression that even harsher impositions may follow. In the end, you find yourself thinking it would be wiser to agree to the first things they imposed.

Of course, we don’t fall for this anymore, but they keep using this tactic.

But these tactics cause the Greek Cypriot/Greek duo to become even more spoiled…

As all these developments unfold, one thought is always at the back of my mind: what will happen if Turkey says, “Take your EU and shove it,” and then achieves full unification with the TRNC?

Let’s say something like that happens, even though it never will. What then?

The EU admitted the Greek Cypriots as representatives of the whole island, ignoring the TRNC, its people, and its political authority here, didn’t it?

Will the EU declare war after Turkey takes this position, saying, “You can’t do that on my territory”?

And what will the Greek Cypriots, Greeks, and other states that share their thinking do, as they push the limits of their arrogance and tell themselves in their little minds, “We’ve got Turkey under pressure; now it’s time to take what we want…”?

*

Anyway, let’s put that aside and look back over the last two or three years.

The EU admitted the Greek Cypriots as representatives of the whole island; so what were the consequences?

There is one fact that is plain and clear: the EU made a mistake.

But there is another question here:

Didn’t the EU know that what it was doing was a mistake, and that these would be the consequences?

Of course it knew. At this point, we must not lose sight of the Greek Cypriot/Greek duo’s EU-backed ideal of enosis, which they have been pursuing in a planned manner, amid comments such as “The EU made a mistake and is now trying to fix it!” and “The EU is making us pay for its mistake,” and so on.

Besides, the EU—the one-toothed monster—did not utter a word about the massacre that took place within its own borders just yesterday.

In the heart of the EU, Serbian killers massacred hundreds of Bosnians.

Let’s not forget!

*

And yet this same EU, turning a blind eye to the Greek Cypriots’ hostility toward Turks, sees a solution in Cyprus in unification.

Does the EU not know that tomorrow, here, a solution based on unification will lead to chaos, with Greek Cypriots and Turks fighting each other?

How could it not know?

Surely they’re smart enough to figure that out, too.

Given that the EU’s past actions are well known, in such a situation do you think it will stand by and watch this atmosphere of war that none of us wants, or will it intervene?

I’m sure they’ve already reserved seats in the front rows.

After these words, some of you will accuse me of “concocting conspiracy theories.”

Some of you will even make ridiculous observations such as, “There’s the status quo defender,” “There’s the …-ist,” and so on; let them…

I’m no astrologer or fortune-teller; I’m simply someone trying—as far as I can—to assess the situation.

Whether you agree with what I’ve written or not doesn’t matter much to me!

What matters to me is that you take a look back over the last two or three years.

It is very important here that you see their true faces and do not fall for the deception…

You, too, should assess the situation and be aware—be aware, so that when you see the same movie again, you can say, “We’ve seen this movie before.”

Until Wednesday; with respect…
