Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Communication held a panel titled ‘From the Perspective of the Turkish Cypriot Press, an Assessment of the Turkish Press.’
The panel was held at 10:30 at the GAU Millennium Senate Congress Center. The opening remarks were delivered by GAU Rector Prof. Dr. Kutsal Öztürk and Assist. Prof. Dr. Haluk Selman, Head of the Department of Press and Broadcasting at the GAU Faculty of Communication.
Presentations at the panel, moderated by journalist Cem Kar, were given by Sami Özuslu, President of the Turkish Cypriot Journalists Association; Ali Baturay, Editor-in-Chief of Kıbrıs Newspaper; Hüseyin Ekmekçi, Managing Editor of Havadis Newspaper; and Assist. Prof. Dr. Haluk Selman, Head of the Department of Press and Broadcasting at the GAU Faculty of Communication.
The panel concluded with GAU Rector Prof. Dr. Kutsal Öztürk and Acting Dean of the GAU Faculty of Communication Assoc. Prof. Dr. Remziye Terkan presenting plaques to the participants.
