‘This, too, is another massacre’

Speaking about the EIA Report on the Öğlen Ajansı program broadcast on Ada TV, DP General Chairman Serdar Denktaş, a guest of Cem Kar, said: “There is an overlooked detail in the EIA Report: before all regions were connected to municipalities, it was legally stipulated that construction could not take place within the 100-meter limit. There is an opinion that was issued by acting as though that law did not exist. If this opinion is put into practice, it could set a precedent for construction within all 100-meter boundaries. This, too, is another massacre, like the skyscrapers. The Ministry of the Interior said it would look into this. We are still waiting for its response. This must absolutely be prevented.”
