EMOTIONAL
VIBRATIONS
(Publication
Date: January 22, 2007)
There is a sound in my home!
That sound is trying to
make us hear something.
At first, I feel that it is
full of pain.
Yet that sound is trying to tell us
something very different.
I think what that sound
is trying to say is:
“Nothing will ever be
the same again”
***
Sound is produced by vibration.
Vibration is needed
for sound to be produced.
Vibration is actually
a contraction.
Ultimately, the vibration that
makes sound possible is a laborious thing.
Although these vibrations are laborious,
they are indispensable.
Because, besides enabling
communication between living beings, they become art through music.
These vibrations (sounds)
can sometimes be different:
The vibration “we should break up,”
heard from a lover, is full of sadness.
By contrast, the “yes” in answer to
the question “Will you marry me?” transforms all emotions into happiness.
Melodic vibrations heard
from time to time also make people feel different emotions.
The music you listen to and love
makes you happy.
In the same way, music created by
these vibrations can make you sad, angry, or amused, etc., depending on your feelings at that moment.
Vibrations play an
important role in the formation of emotions!
There are vibrations
in my home, too.
For example, the vibration “darling,
I love you so much” that I hear from my dear wife makes me very happy...
But I do hear the high-level
vibrations that go, “Why did you leave your socks in the bedroom?”...
Of course, there are other
kinds of vibrations at home, too!
The sound made by the refrigerator,
the TV, the radio, my computer, etc.
But apart from all these,
there is a very different sound in my home these days...
It is a sound I have heard
in many places before, but could not bear, and whose vibrations were so intense that they immediately made me leave the place where it was coming from.
A sound that makes me feel different
emotions whenever I hear it...
A sound whose cause my wife and I
cannot identify, but about which we make guesses.
A sound that spurs us to action
with these guesses...
Though I could not bear this sound
when I heard it before, these days (I don't know what I will think later), it seems to me the most beautiful melody I have ever heard in my life.
Although its source is
painful, this sound makes us happy.
This sound whispers something that,
under normal circumstances, would frighten and worry us, but when we hear it makes us feel exactly the opposite: It says that nothing will be the same again.
It says there will be many difficulties
in the future.

This sound is the voice of my son Berk Cem, who opened his eyes to the world three days ago.
And right now he is making sounds
at a high volume, but with emotional vibrations; in other words, he is crying.
I think he's calling me...
